UTS Fencing has a pretty good year in the 2014 state championships series, netting an overall medal count of 19 ( 5 Gold, 6 Silver and 8 Bronze medals ), well done UTS Fencing. The results from the most recent state championships events are as below:

UTS Team did a fantastic job at AUGs this year, and the team came away with 3 Silver medals (Men’s Team Epee, Women’s Team Sabre, Women’s Novice Foil ) and 2 Bronze medals (Men’s Novice Foil, Women’s Sabre).

Anna and Julie fenced very competitively against some of the most skilled fencers in the world at the Veteran World Championships.     Congratulations on your fantastic performance.

 

Congratulations to the Women’s Epee Team for silver, and the Men’s Foil Team for bronze, as well as Julie’s gold medal in Veteran Women’s Epee Andrey’s bronze medal in the Veteran Men’s Foil.

UTS Fencing Scholarship

Congratulations to Lachlan Fitzgerald who was awarded the 2014 UTS Fencing Scholarship.    Lachlan is enrolled in the prestigious UTS Bachelor of Accounting program – a cooperative education scholarship program – at the UTS School of Business.   Lachlan has also been awarded a sporting scholarship by UTS Union Ltd (ActivateUTS)

Our fencers had some very solid results in the Robyn Chaplin Tournament (7^th -9^th June 2014)

Congratulations to Lizzie and Emily – 1st and 2nd in 2014 NSW Cadet Women’s Epee Championship held on 25th May, the dynamic duo also dominated the 2014 NSW School Championships Senior Girls Epee event on the previously day, with Emily winning Gold and Lizzie going home with the Silver medal.
