UTS Fencing Club gets top results at Junior World Cup Tournaments

UTS fencers Joe Slowiaczek and Alex Carioti have finished a European Junior World Cup tour with some strong results.

They started in Luxembourg where they both made the top 32 in the Foil event, with Joe placed 28th and Alex 31st. Joe also competed in the Epee event where he placed 16th. They then moved on to Spain where Alex made the top 32, placing 29th and Joe came an awesome 3rd!

With the World Cup points that they picked up on the tour, Joe is now ranked 36th and Alex 152nd in the World for Junior Foil and in the Epee Joe is ranked 153rd.

Both of these young fencers will be representing Australia at the Commonwealth Junior Championships to be held in India in January next year.
